Terms and conditions

These terms apply to everything you get from Restaurant Oost: a reservation, a takeaway order or catering. By reserving, ordering or confirming a catering booking you accept these terms.

Who we are

Restaurant Oost is a general partnership under Dutch law (vennootschap onder firma, vof), based at Zijlweg 82, 2013 DL Haarlem, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 42064913, VAT NL869546223B01. Phone +31 23 785 1562, email info@oosteten.nl.

Prices and payment

All prices are in euros and include VAT. In the restaurant you pay at the end of your visit; takeaway orders are paid on collection or in advance via a payment link; for catering you receive a quote and an invoice. Online payments are handled by MultiSafepay. An order or booking is final once we have confirmed it.

Reservations

You can reserve through the website, by phone or by WhatsApp. If you arrive more than fifteen minutes after your reserved time without letting us know, we may give your table to other guests. Can't make it? Tell us as soon as possible so someone else can have your spot.

Takeaway

You order by WhatsApp or phone and we agree a collection time. Food is perishable and prepared especially for you, so the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply (article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code). You can cancel free of charge up to 2 hours before the agreed collection time. After that, or if you do not collect the order, we charge the full amount.

Catering

After your request we prepare a quote. The booking is confirmed once you accept the quote in writing, by email or WhatsApp. You can change the number of guests up to 48 hours before the date; after that we charge for the confirmed number.

Cancellation: free of charge up to 7 days before the date, 50% of the quoted amount up to 48 hours before the date, and the full amount after that. The right of withdrawal does not apply here either, because the food is freshly prepared for an agreed date.

Allergens and dietary wishes

Our kitchen works with peanuts, nuts, soy, gluten, shellfish, egg and other allergens. Always tell us about allergies in advance; we do our best, but we can never fully rule out cross-contamination. Oost is not halal.

If something goes wrong

Not happy? Tell us straight away, in the restaurant or via info@oosteten.nl, and we will sort it out. We are liable for damage only if it was caused by our intent or gross negligence, and up to the amount of your order or booking. Force majeure (such as illness, outages or supply problems) releases us from our obligations; we will let you know as soon as possible and refund any amounts paid in advance.

Other

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes are brought before the competent court in Haarlem, unless the law designates another court. We may change these terms; the date at the top shows which version applies. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.
